Background
Wally Mackey has been involved in post-retirement financial planning since May 1992. He started Sycamore Group, Inc. after living through his parent's retirement fears, his mother's nearly four-year nursing home stay, and his brother's premature death. Through these experiences, he learned the value of good planning, and he has dedicated his life to teaching these principles to retired individuals and couples.
Wally was raised in Warren, Ohio, and attended Bowling Green State University. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration and statistical mathematics. He pursed his profession after serving as a Naval Aviator, an airline pilot, regional vice president of marketing for a major bank, and an association executive director. He became his church's treasurer and Sunday school teacher during his 20 years in the Chicago area. Today, he and his family reside in Tampa, Florida.
